5 Essential Oils for the Season Approaching
What season are we talking about that is approaching? It isn’t fall. It is the Season of Routine. School is starting back for many. It might be for your children or you returning to school. With this new season, we have many things that happen in our households but we are going to discuss only one:
Why did I choose this? Stress causes so many physical, mental, spiritual and emotional issues. Everyone experiences stress. Babies experience stress when they are hungry or get startled. Older children experience stress at school in the form of making new friends, new teachers, peer pressure or when taking exams. Adults, more than anyone, can experience the greatest amount of stress from work, traffic, family responsibilities, health, finances, and marital relationships. The fact is, you cannot always change outside stressors, those factors in the environment which cause anxiety. You can learn to change how you will react. This is the key to coping with stress. We have to identify stress and find better ways to handle it.
*Lavender, is a relaxant, vasodilator, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antifungal, analgesic and reduces blood fat/ cholesterol. It is awesome for respiratory infections, high blood pressure, arteriosclerosis, menstrual problems/PMS, skin conditions (perennial repair, acne, eczema, psoriasis, scarring stretch marks), burns, hair loss, insomnia, and nervous tension. Lavender is considered single oil and is one of the most adulterated oils available.
*Peace & Calming is an essential oil that is a blend. This means that it has more than one oil mix together to help your healing (Blue Tansy, Patchouli, Tangerine, Orange and Ylang Ylang). Peace & Calming promotes relaxation and a deep sense of peace and emotional well-being, helping to dampen tensions and uplift spirits. When massaged on the bottom of the feet, it can be a wonderful prelude to a peaceful night’s rest. It may calm overactive and hard-to-manage children, reduces depression, anxiety, stress, and insomnia.
*Valor is also a blended essential oil (Rosewood, Blue Tansy, Frankincense and Spruce). It balances energies to instill courage, confidence, and self-esteem, helps overcome anger, negative emotions and feeling of self-control.
*Roman Chamomile is the Chamomile of choice. It is a relaxant, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, anti-parasitic, nerve regenerative, anesthetic, and detoxifies blood and liver. Roman Chamomile will help to relieve restlessness, anxiety, ADHD, depression, insomnia, and skin conditions (acne, dermatitis and eczema).
*Be sure that AFNOR is on your bottle. Otherwise, it is NOT a Therapeutic Essential Oil and you can have side effects.
